Raw materials

Starting from wild medicinal plants – our precious raw materials – we obtain food-grade essential oil: the ultimate concentrate of natural active ingredients (bio-molecules) that boosts the formula's effectiveness and elevates the professional's manual techniques, delivering incomparable results.

CAREFUL CHOICE

We give preference to wild herbs because plants that grow spontaneously have unique organoleptic features, a richer phytocomplex, and, consequently, a purer and more effective essential oil than that obtained from cultivated plants.

COLLECTION AREAS

Our primary harvesting areas include the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, the major islands, the Ligurian Riviera, and the Piedmontese Langhe hinterland. We also gather from the pristine coasts and hills of Southern Italy, the rolling hills of Basilicata, Molise, and Abruzzo, and the Prealps of the Triveneto region.

Production chain

Medicinal plants are specific botanical species rich in essential oils and health-promoting active ingredients, which have always accompanied humanity, lending themselves to a wide variety of wellness uses.

Our belief in the vital force of these plants is so profound that we named ourselves MEI: an acronym for the Finest Italian Herbs (Migliori Erbe Italiane).

With over thirty years of experience, we have built a unique supply chain that brings together harvesters, farms, and highly specialized laboratories, ensuring the highest quality at every stage of the production process.

Wild-growing medicinal plants are hand-harvested at their balsamic time, when the concentration of active ingredients is at its peak.

Analyses

Once the quality controls are passed, the plants are dried using natural processes, calibrated according to the timing and characteristics of each species, to concentrate and enrich the essential oil content.

Extraction

Subsequently, the extracts are obtained through processing methods that comply with the highest international standards, such as GMP-ISO 22716 certifications.

The ingredients obtained in this way become the foundation of our formulas, giving life to unique cosmetics and supplements.

When water is present in our products, it is purified and revitalized using the Grander bio- energetic method, which restores the properties of natural spring water. The result is smooth textures and more bioavailable active ingredients.

Thanks to this stability and the purity of the extracts, we can reduce the use of preservatives, replacing synthetic ones with plant-based alternatives.
In this way, our cosmetics are gentler, well-tolerated, and in perfect harmony with the nature from which they are born.

We have created the SUPERFOOD line of anhydrous cosmetics that do not use water in the production process, packaged in glass jars with wooden caps from sustainable forests, without external boxes and with recycled paper labels.
